The YardContro+ XENON uses ultrasonic and audible sounds combined with a startling, pulsating strobe light to deter animals from entering the coverage area. The device's motion sensor is triggered by most animals, including deer, raccoons, skunks, dogs, cats, and rabbits.
The built-in motion sensor detects up to 360 degrees and covers a 30 foot radius. The unit's sound frequency can be set anywhere from an audible low of 8 KHz (for deer and large animals, and also to provide an audible intruder alarm) to a high of 50 KHz (inaudible ultrasound useful for repelling rats and mice). The motion detector's range can also be adjusted from high (for a 30 foot radius) to low and to any intermediate setting. The unit is weather-resistant, and can be mounted on a wall, tree, or post.
