What makes the Extreme Weather Pet Door better? Two of the three flaps are transparent vinyl held in place by 4 screws (as opposed to most pet doors, where the flaps simply pop into place). The seal on the edge of the flaps forms an accordion, so even if the flap contracts with cold the seal will remain tight. A magnet lines the bottom of both flaps encouraging them to stay put despite wind or rain. The middle (third) flap is insulation to provide an extra layer of protection from the elements.
